BRIO’S TERRAZZO RESTORATION

The Oklahoma Zoo aimed to revive its century-old Terrazzo flooring. Following a detailed assessment, we found that the floors had accumulated layers of deep set dirt and grime over time, necessitating a thorough restoration process to achieve the desired results. Let's take a deeper look at our Terrazzo restoration process!

WHAT IS TERRAZZO?

Terrazzo flooring is a blend of tradition and modernity, offering a unique combination of durability, sustainability, and visual appeal. This type of flooring is created by embedding pieces of marble, quartz, granite, or glass in a cement or epoxy binder, then polishing the surface to a high shine. The result is a stunning, mosaic-like finish that can enhance any space.

APPROACH

After conducting a comprehensive assessment of the floors with our reliable partners, we identified the optimal approach to remove existing coatings. A test area revealed the full scope of restoration needed. To rejuvenate the Terrazzo floors, we utilized diamond-honing methods involving multiple pads and passes.

To finalize the project, we applied a premium stone sealer and polished the surface to a glossy sheen through meticulous passes and applications.

TERRAZZO RESTORATION RESULTS

Our terrazzo restoration project was a resounding success, achieving a complete rejuvenation of the floors to their original beauty and shine. The customer was thrilled with the results and excited to showcase their newly restored terrazzo floors.
